One album, two men, too many instruments! Two crazy barefoot Aussies wield over 20 instruments to faithfully recreate Mike Oldfield’s epic 1973 masterpiece. Following sell-out seasons around the world and a Best Music Award-winning appearance at the 2015 Adelaide Fringe Festival, Tubular Bells for Two returns to tour the UK fresh from its third sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Tubular Bells for Two started as an idea conjured up over a bottle of wine and two guitars by Daniel Holdsworth and Aidan Roberts. After arranging the music of this classic rock album by ear for acoustic guitar, more and more instruments were added to create the current stage set-up of keyboards, guitars, bass, mandolin, glockenspiel, loop pedals and of course tubular bells, forming a mathematical and acrobatic musical rollercoaster.
