Following on the heels of the release of Neat’s Ekstra loudspeaker earlier this year, the British Loudspeaker brand have announced a bookshelf version, the Ministra.

Featuring the same ribbon tweeter and bass/midrange drive units as the Ekstra, the Ministra is an extremely compact iso-baric model. Like the Ekstra, the drive units are mounted on a separate baffle attached to the main enclosure via a polyethylene membrane.

North West Audio Show 2019

The Ministra had their prototype debut at NWAS 2019 at Cranage Hall, where they featured in one of Linette’s top rooms of the show, with Auralic and Norma. (However they were still going under the name of Ekstra Standmounts at that point). They will get their proper first outing at the Toronto Audio Fest next weekend.
