B-AUDIO LAUNCH B.DPR EX STREAMING DAC AT DUTCH AUDIO EVENT

B-audio are launching their new B.dpr EX Streaming DAC, an enhanced version of their B.dac EX with an added 100% analogue preamplification stage.

The B.dpr EX features analogue, balanced and coaxial inputs allowing the connection of up to three additional analogue sources.

The B-audio B.dpr EX includes the brand’s patented SJR “Source Jitter Removal” technology which provides the best possible D/A conversion, by eliminating all input jitter without the need of an external clock link. The pre-amplification stage is done by a relay-driven resistor network that avoids any interference with the signal.

The available features include compatibility with protocols UPnP, MPD, LMS, NAA, Roon, Airplay, Spotify. Access to streaming services (Qobuz, Tidal, Spotify …) via compatible iOS and Android applications. Playback of various formats: PCM up to 384kHz / DXD / DoP / native DSD up to DSD 256 and integrated cloud / UPnP server (makes data stored on USB media accessible over the network).

The B.dpr features two unbalanced inputs (RCA) and one balanced input (XLR). Thanks to the analogue volume control stage, the signals coming from these inputs are processed completely in the analogue domain.

ACOUSTIC CORRECTION

The onboard DSP features parametric acoustic correction to help make the most of the room and speakers. In-house developed, this functionality is based on a 64-bit architecture. The overall gain is determined automatically without user intervention, which guarantees the absence of saturation regardless of the parameters used.

Each B.dpr EX comes with a custom-made remote control made of solid aluminium.

DUTCH AUDIO EVENT 2021

After a successful show at the last event, XFi, in 2019, B-audio will launch the new model at the Dutch Audio Event this weekend, in Veldhoven, near Eindhoven. They will also be using a pair of their B.amp reference amplifiers.
